The CyDAR project deals with artifacts of historical significance. The artifacts include iconic images and text found in ancient Cypriot secretariat. The objective of this project is to digitize and archive these priceless findings from Cyprus, giving historians, archaeologists and computer scientists a unique opportunity to build together a search engine and digital library that will strive to provide a multi-lingual access to these old documents and images. I worked on the multi-lingual search part of this project.
In this project, I have been thoroughly helped by Dr Partha Mukherjee, been advised on the intricacies of the Ancient Greek language (and generally mentored - both academically and spiritually) by Prof Zoe Stamatopoulou, and been introduced to Prof Zoe by Prof Dean R. Snow. I humbly recognize their contributions in this project. - August 11, 2018
